Not sure why yelp sez this place is closed.
Have lunch here a few times a month.
Very reasonable prices, food is good and people nice. Seems like they have a lot of regulars who are local so maybe they are keeping it off radar?
Dine in was not speedy. Bagels are excellent!
It's like a local small town diner - if you want homey, filling food without blowing the bank, it's great. If you want a trendy lunch that sounds cool and costs twice as much but doesn't taste much different, go to Gracie's. -

Typical diner with a cleaner than normal indoor appearance. Pretty large menu of sandwiches. Couple options of soup. It's a regulars type of place. Coming at lunch you will see county workers next to construction workers, bankers, families and retirees. The service at first glance is sub par with a tinge of rudeness. Upon further inspection it is mostly a tough love and a rough around the edges feel. If I had taken my sandwich to go this would have been a 2 star based on service. But after seeing the server interact with more customers I realized she just feels comfortable being a person with no filter and giving it to you straight. So as long as you know that it's neither here nor there. It's a diner. Your not coming to be wined and dined by candlelight. Chicken Sandwich was large and tomato soup was tasty. All in all fairly priced would return in I'm in the area.

I called here first to ask their hours, explaining that I'd never been here before. A rather annoyed-sounding woman told me they close at 3pm. So I rushed over to see their takeout menu. It was 2:35, and the place was closed! So I phoned back to question the unfriendly woman I spoke to, who snippily informed me that they moved a few doors down. Since the signage on their old place is still there - and much more bright and noticeable than on their tiny new place - couldn't this woman have mentioned that to prevent any confusion?
So I ordered 2 sandwiches for us and hoped they'd be better that the treatment from the staff. No surprise there: they were bland, plain, and dry. Thank goodness for the bag of chips we ordered on the side (nothing comes with the sandwich but the paper it's wrapped in).
The place is small, but it had a few tables and wasn't noisy or uncomfortable-looking.
Maybe breakfast is more their thing, but I wouldn't know, and after this dismal experience, I doubt I'll be returning to find out. -

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The soup I had was fabulous! It was a tasty Manhattan Chowder. Don't get me started on the homemade pies! ....... They are out of this world!!!!!!! If you are in Catskill, you must try this place!

My wife and I just had breakfast at the Garden Gate and it was amazing! By far, the best bagels and coffee north of NYC!
